hello i don’t want to make this post but here we go. it’s looking like december is going to be grim– i don’t think i’ll be able to pay rent, definitely not my student loans which i can’t afford to fall behind on. even the little purchases are difficult rn, like food and the bus.
dealing with severe mental illness & trying to find a job to replace the over-exhausting one i currently have has left me desperately trying to make ends meet.
even a couple dollars so i can take the bus to work this month would be so appreciated, i’m runnin on pennies. thank you for any help

Take a bath in rose petals. Invent new ways to invoke your inner goddess throughout your everyday life. Shower a rose quartz in blessings. Tell it your desires. Infused it with a new intention of love.
the more i think about it the more its obvious that spongebob genuinely was a perfect example of blending humor in a way that appeals to children and adults. spongebob ALWAYS felt like something made for me as a child and i rarely saw a joke in it that i didnt understand and couldnt laugh at. looking back on it now is a genuine experience because the small things i laughed at has only grown more nuanced in its humor. it was funny as a kid watching spongebob and patrick larp being a parent and their idea of what adulthood is and its just as funny now that i can recognize the satire and parody in the situation. there was ALWAYS smart and fun commentary on what being an adult is, the workforce, our relationships, and the hardships of growing up.
like not to be corny but i think thats really why it has had such a long lasting impression on us and our generation. it was something we loved as a kid and as we got older the experiences mocked and joked about in the show have only become more and more relevant. i really thinks thats why it has an eternal place as a meme staple too. no matter what we be going thru spongebob somehow had an episode or a gag or just a still that speaks to that experience.
and it managed to do that! while still ALWAYS feeling like a show for kids first and foremost. (coughcough kids dont like stevens universe) it always had such smart and interesting framing that as a child never felt like it was preaching lessons of sharing and caring. it was really a show that grew with its generation and i think were in the peak of that growth now. the kids who watched the show as it was airing are all now 20smth yos that are REALLY feeling the experience of having a bad boss working minimum wage or really getting that inability to pass a drivers test or really REALLY dont know how to ask for a glass of water when we visit someone new
for me its just a p much perfect example of creating a show that has longevity in its cultural placement while never forgetting who its target audience is and respecting that
